Plans for our Kenya Outreach 2016 are moving along and we are very blessed for the way Father is providing for this time. We recently had some great news that our friends, Oli and Aldecy, are going to let us use their vehicle for transportation while we are there. This is a huge answer to prayer as renting a reliable vehicle can be extremely expensive in Africa (over $US80 per day!). We will be paying Oli and Aldecy a fraction of that to bless them and cover the cost of wear and tear on their vehicle. We are so thankful that Father knows every detail of our needs for this outreach.

nicodemusIn this report we want to introduce you to Nicodemus Vilembwa. Nicodemus and his family live in Majengo, Kenya located in Vihiga county in western Kenya. Nicodemus is a full-time school teacher as well as a full-time pastor and bible teacher. I have had the privilege to know Nicodemus for more than fifteen years. He has close relationships with about ten pastors in Majengo and they enjoy a real unity together as they reach out to their community and the surrounding areas. Nicodemus is just one of the men who will coordinate equipping meetings for us during our time in Kenya. We will be spending time with him during our final week in Kenya (August 7-12). The last time I was with Nicodemus in Majengo was 2003. We are very excited to get back to Majengo to encourage the believers there. Please pray for Nicodemus as the Lord brings him to your heart. He has a very challenging life with all his responsibilities for his teaching post as well as the daily demands of the local church work. On top of all this is the constant challenge all Kenyans face for the basic daily needs of life. Also pray that God will go before us and prepare the hearts of the leaders there and that we will be sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit during our time with them.

We want to ask you to consider investing your financial resources in this Kenya outreach. We encourage you to consider that your financial support for this outreach is not for our benefit but for the benefit of men like Nicodemus and others that we will introduce to you over the next few weeks. We also believe that your investment in this outreach has a return that will greatly enrich you spiritually. The apostle Paul says in 2 Cor. 9:10-11,

“Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality.”

It is so beautiful how God provides such a powerful promise to those who sow. You will experience an increase in the harvest of your righteousness and you will be enriched in everything. By giving to this outreach financially you will literally go with us to Kenya and you can do this without ever boarding a plane!

We are trusting God for a budget of approximately $10,000 for this outreach. This includes our airfare and all the necessary expenses to conduct six different outreaches throughout western Kenya. We want to be a blessing to the Kenyan people in every way possible during our time there. Every investment is significant and no seed is too small.
